Easter morning full of indulgence! Our Crunchy Pistachio Waffles not only bring color to the breakfast table, but also a touch of spring. Made with the reoat Original Waffle Mix and refined with crunchy, chopped pistachios, they're a true Easter treasure. Served with a creamy pistachio spread, these waffles are a feast for the senses and a cheerful start to the Easter holidays.
You will need the following ingredients:
For the waffles:- 200g reoat Waffle Mix Original
- 200ml water
- 100g pistachios, unsalted, chopped
- A little oil or vegan butter
- 150g vegan cream or mascarpone
- 50g pistachios, finely ground
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- A few drops of vanilla extract
To garnish:
- Chopped pistachios
- edible flowers (optional)
Preparation:
- Mix the reoat Waffle Mix Original with water in a large bowl until a smooth batter is formed.
- Fold the finely chopped pistachios into the batter until they are evenly distributed.
- Preheat your waffle iron and lightly grease it to prevent sticking.
- Pour enough batter for one waffle into the waffle iron and bake until golden brown and crispy. Repeat this process until all the batter is used up.
- For the pistachio cream, mix the vegan cream or mascarpone with the ground pistachios, powdered sugar and vanilla extract until you get a smooth cream.
- Serve the warm waffles with a dollop of pistachio cream and sprinkle with chopped pistachios.
- A few edible flowers or small Easter decorations on the waffles create a festive atmosphere and make breakfast a real eye-catcher.
