Benni's savory vegan waffles

Benni's savory vegan waffles are the perfect blend of warm, hearty indulgence and fresh energy for the day. With the reoat Original Waffle Mix and a selection of delicious vegan ingredients, Benni conjures up a breakfast that's both filling and satisfying. Perfect for anyone who needs something hearty in the morning.

You will need the following ingredients:

  • 200 g reoat waffle mix original
  • 200 ml water
  • 1-2 tomatoes, diced
  • 50 g vegan grated cheese
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh chives

Preparation:

  1. Pour the reoat Waffle Mix Original into a large bowl.
  2. Add 200 ml of water and mix well until a smooth dough is formed.
  3. Stir the finely diced tomatoes and vegan grated cheese into the batter.
  4. Preheat a waffle iron and lightly grease it.
  5. Pour the waffle batter into the waffle iron and bake until golden brown (approx. 3-5 minutes, depending on the waffle iron).
  6. Remove the finished waffles from the waffle iron and arrange them on a plate.
  7. Top the waffles with avocado slices.
  8. Season with salt and pepper and garnish with fresh chives if desired.

Recommendation from the kitchen:

For an extra crispy texture, the waffles can be baked briefly in the oven at 200°C for 5 minutes after baking.
