Pear and Ginger Kaiserschmarrn

Our Pear and Ginger Kaiserschmarrn is a hearty Austrian classic with an exciting twist. This fluffy and juicy Kaiserschmarrn is enhanced with fresh pears, giving it a refreshing freshness. You will need the following ingredients:

  • 200g reoat pancake mix
  • 200ml water
  • 2 ripe pears
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
  • A pinch of cinnamon
  • A pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • Juice and zest of 1 lemon

Preparation:

1. Peel and core the pears and cut them into thin slices.

2. Peel and grate the ginger.

3. Sprinkle the freshly grated ginger over the pears and mix.

4. In a large bowl, mix the reoat pancake mix with water.

5. Add a pinch of cinnamon and salt to the dough.

8. Fry the other side until it is also golden brown.

9. Sprinkle the Kaiserschmarrn with powdered sugar and sprinkle some lemon juice and zest over it.
